Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN)
The GS1 Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) is a network of interoperable data pools enabling collaborating users to securely synchronize master data based on GS1 standards. GDSN supports accurate, real-time data sharing and trade item updates among subscribed trading partners.
GS1 is a nonprofit organization that develops and maintains global standards for business communication. The best known of these standards is the barcode, a symbol printed on products that can be scanned electronically.
GS1 has over 100 local member organizations and 1.5 million user companies.
GS1 standards are designed to improve the efficiency, safety and visibility of supply chains across physical and digital channels in 25 sectors. They form a business language that identifies, captures and shares key information about products, locations, assets and more.
Simply put, the GS1 organization sets standards for which the GDSN follows.
A GS1 certified data pool like Attribytes' Easy Data Pool is a service provider that is certified to share and exchange your data over the Global Data Synchronization Network.
By utilizing a GS1 certified data pool, you can provide and update your product information in a single place to distribute to multiple trading partners.
